Chapman University

Established in 1861 as Hesperian College, Chapman University is a private university in Orange, CA. It was founded by the Disciples of Christ. There are nine schools and colleges on campus, an accredited institution for working adults through a network of 26 campuses in California and Washington and virtual platform called Brandman University. Chapman has a campus in Singapore, offering a two-year degree program in creative producing at the Ngee Ann campus in Singapore. The university partners with the “1939” Club, one of the largest and most active Holocaust survivor organizations in the U.S. to host annual Holocaust art and writing contest. Beginning in 1965, Chapman started its “World Campus Afloat” program that evolved into “Semester at Sea.” This program has taken thousands of students and educators around to world to ports such as China, Singapore, South Africa and beyond. Chapman University competes in the NCAA Division III (non-scholarship) level.
